Impact ministries

Our church wants to make an impact both in Gahanna and all over the world.

Three Creeks is a ministry partner with My Village Ministries to come alongside families in crisis to help them get to the other side.

We support missionaries in West Africa, serving in a nation where only 2% of the people are following Jesus. Each year, we send teams to minister alongside our full-time missionaries.

In 2017, we started the Gahanna Gift Shop in an effort to help families in need in Gahanna. The Gahanna Gift Shop is a one-day Christmas store for parents to shop for brand new toys for their kids. In 2018, we joined up with a few other churches and organizations to serve even more families.

At the Gahanna Gift Shop, each brand new donated toy costs $2 – and every dollar we bring in gets donated back to our GJPS schools. If you’d like more information about donating toys, volunteering at the event, or registering to shop, visit www.gahannagiftshop.com.

If we left Gahanna, we’d want Gahanna to miss us. That’s the kind of impact we want to have.

Here are a few ways we made an impact in Gahanna in 2021.

God's Faithfulness

Our Story

Hybrid House Church
After months of praying, planning and embracing online church, Three Creeks re-launched our community groups in the fall of 2020. We began a new blended model of online church and Community Groups, and realized we were built for a hybrid house-church setting. As a result, more people continued to join Three Creeks.
Church Planting
Less than three years into our church’s existence, we partnered with Movement Church (our sending church) to plant Contrast Church in Grandview, OH. They began with 50 people, and despite launching during a pandemic, they are seeing their new church grow.
Local Impact
Local Impact thrived in 2020, creating new ways to serve the people of Gahanna with Adopt a Nurse, Box of Hope, partnered food drives and summer lunches with GRIN and the 4th annual Gahanna Gift Shop in December.
Online Services
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Three Creeks began online services. As a result, we reached hundreds more people than before and opened an avenue for even more people to find and follow God.
Gahanna Gift Shop
Three Creeks led the Gahanna Gift Shop to serve over 300 families, providing over 2000 Christmas toys, and donating over $3000 to our Gahanna Schools through this incredible event.
El Classes
We partnered with Goshen Lane Elementary School to provide free English Classes for the parents of international students attending their school. We love our local community and want to serve them.
Two Services
God helped our church grow – both in depth and in width – and in the fall of 2019, we launched a second Sunday morning service.
Church Planting Residents
Trey and Sarah Gilmore moved to Columbus, Ohio to do a Residency with us, gathering a team and getting ready to plant Contrast Church in Grandview, Ohio. We believe in planting churches.
Three Creeks Turns 1
Three Creeks celebrated being one year old by giving everyone a brick with a Three Creeks emblem it. These served as a reminder that it is God, and not us, who is building this church.
Christmas Eve Eve
For the first time, Three Creeks had two services and 300 people came to celebrate the birth of Jesus. At our services, we were able to raise $9000 to dig a well, purchase farming equipment and build a house for the pastor who recently planted a new church in Burkina Faso.
Baptisms
At Three Creeks, we celebrate life-change. One way we do that is through baptism. In our first two years as a church, 25 people went public with their faith in Jesus by being baptized..
Easter
191 people showed up at our first ever Easter Sunday at Three Creeks Church. We’ve continued to be a church that believes the best life possible is one found in Jesus.
Launch Sunday
On February 18, 2018 – Three Creeks Church officially launched! The mission was underway: to help people find and follow God!
Launch Team
In September 2017, the Three Creeks Church Launch Team met to pray, plan, and launch a new church in early 2018. These five months were vital for our team, as we were able to define our vision and begin connecting with people in Gahanna.
The Move to Gahanna
In early 2017, the Trainers, along with a group of families from Movement Church, moved across town to Gahanna and began to meet people, encourage other churches, and to look for ways to serve the local community of Gahanna.
Residency in Columbus
In 2012, Movement Church launched in Hilliard, Ohio with the dream to plant more churches. They saved money and encouraged people to go on a church plant, without even knowing where it’d be or who would lead it. In 2016, Joel and Morgan Trainer joined the team and began the process of planting a new church.
