We believe the Bible is true, and we live our lives by it.

We gather on Sundays and in small groups, because we grow best in groups.

We serve people both in our local community and around the world.

Whoever you are, you’re welcome at Three Creeks Church.

Residency in Columbus

In 2012, Movement Church launched in Hilliard, Ohio with the dream to plant more churches. They saved money and encouraged people to go on a church plant, without even knowing where it’d be or who would lead it. In 2016, Joel and Morgan Trainer joined the team and began the process of planting a new church.

The Move to Gahanna

In early 2017, the Trainers, along with a group of families from Movement Church, moved across town to Gahanna and began to meet people, encourage other churches, and to look for ways to serve the local community of Gahanna.

Fall 2017

Launch Team

In September 2017, the Three Creeks Church Launch Team met to pray, plan, and launch a new church in early 2018. These five months were vital for our team, as we were able to define our vision and begin connecting with people in Gahanna.

Launch Sunday

On February 18, 2018 – Three Creeks Church officially launched! The mission was underway: to help people find and follow God!

Spring 2018

191 people showed up at our first ever Easter Sunday at Three Creeks Church. We’ve continued to be a church that believes the best life possible is one found in Jesus.

At Three Creeks, we celebrate life-change. One way we do that is through baptism. In our first two years as a church, 25 people went public with their faith in Jesus by being baptized..

December 2018

Christmas Eve Eve

For the first time, Three Creeks had two services and 300 people came to celebrate the birth of Jesus. At our services, we were able to raise $9000 to dig a well, purchase farming equipment and build a house for the pastor who recently planted a new church in Burkina Faso.

Spring 2019

Three Creeks Turns 1

Three Creeks celebrated being one year old by giving everyone a brick with a Three Creeks emblem it. These served as a reminder that it is God, and not us, who is building this church.

August 2019

Church Planting Resident

Trey and Sarah Gilmore moved to Columbus, Ohio to do a Residency with us, gathering a team and getting ready to plant Contrast Church in Grandview, Ohio. We believe in planting churches.

October 2019

Two Services

God helped our church grow – both in depth and in width – and in the fall of 2019, we launched a second Sunday morning service.

Fall 2019

EL Classes

We partnered with Goshen Lane Elementary School to provide free English Classes for the parents of international students attending their school. We love our local community and want to serve them.

December 2019

Gahanna Gift Shop

Three Creeks led the Gahanna Gift Shop to serve over 300 families, providing over 2000 Christmas toys, and donating over $3000 to our Gahanna Schools through this incredible event.

March 2020

Online Services

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Three Creeks began online services. As a result, we reached hundreds more people than before and opened an avenue for even more people to find and follow God.

Summer 2020

Local Impact

Local Impact thrived in 2020, creating new ways to serve the people of Gahanna with Adopt a Nurse, Box of Hope, partnered food drives and summer lunches with GRIN and the 4th annual Gahanna Gift Shop in December.

August 2020

Church Planting

Less than three years into our church’s existence, we partnered with Movement Church (our sending church) to plant Contrast Church in Grandview, OH. They began with 50 people, and despite launching during a pandemic, they are seeing their new church grow.

September 2020

Hybrid House-Church

After months of praying, planning and embracing online church, Three Creeks re-launched our community groups in the fall of 2020. We began a new blended model of online church and Community Groups, and realized we were built for a hybrid house-church setting. As a result, more people continued to join Three Creeks.

We believe the Bible is true.

The Word of God, the sixty-six Books of the Old and New Testaments, is verbally inspired in all parts, and therefore wholly without error as originally given of God.

2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21

We believe in the one, true God.

God exists eternally as three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Luke 3:22; Matthew 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in Christ’s preexistence and deity,

John 1:1 3

incarnation by virgin birth,

John 1:14; Matthew 1:18 23

sinless life,

Heb. 4:15

substitutionary death,

2 Cor. 5:21

bodily resurrection,

Luke 24:36 43

ascension into heaven and present ministry

Heb. 4:14 16

and coming again.

Acts 1:11

We believe in the Holy Spirit.

We believe in His personality,

John 16:7-15

and deity,

Acts 5:3-4

and His work in each believer: baptism and indwelling at the moment of regeneration

1 Cor. 12:13; Rom. 8:9

and filling,

Eph. 5:18

to empower for Christian life and service.

Eph. 3:16; Acts 1:8; Gal. 5:22-23

We believe every person is sinful at birth.

Man was created in the image of God,

Gen. 1:26-28

but his subsequent fall into sin results in spiritual death

Gen. 3:1 24; Rom. 5:12

and the necessity of the new birth for his salvation.

John 3:3-5

We believe Jesus is the only way to salvation.

Complete and eternal salvation by God’s grace alone is received as the gift of God through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work.

Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7;1 Peter 1:18-19

We believe the church exists to glorify God.

There is one true church, the body and the bride of Christ

Eph. 1:22 23; 5:25 32

composed of all true believers of the present age

1 Cor. 12:12 13

and there are local churches existing for worship, for edification of believers, and for world-wide gospel witness, each one being autonomous but cooperating in fellowship and work.

Eph. 4:11-16

We believe the Christian life is the best life possible.

A life of righteousness, good works and separation unto God from the evil ways of the world

Rom. 12:1-2

manifested by speaking the truth

James 5:12

maintaining the sanctity of the home

Eph. 5:22 6:4

settling differences between Christians in accordance with the Word of God

1 Cor. 6:1-8

not engaging in carnal strife but showing a Christ like attitude toward all men

Rom. 12:17-21

exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit

Gal. 5:22-23

and maintaining a life of prayer

Eph. 6:18; Phil. 4:6

including the privilege, when sick, of calling for the elders of the church to pray and to anoint with oil in the name of the Lord

James 5:13-18

is God-honoring and ultimately, the best life possible.

We believe Jesus set us an example to follow.

Christians should observe the ordinances of our Lord Jesus Christ which are (1) baptism of believers by triune immersion

Matt. 28:19

and (2) the threefold communion service, consisting of the washing of the saints’ feet,

John 13:1-17

the Lord’s Supper,

1 Cor. 11:20-22, 33-34; Jude 12

and the communion of the bread and the cup.

1 Cor. 11:23-26

We believe we have an active enemy, but he will lose in the end.

Satan is the great adversary of God and His people.

Rev. 12:1-10

but his future is determined and sealed. He will be locked up and thrown into the lake of fire forever.

Rev. 20:10

We believe Jesus is coming again.

The personal, visible, and imminent return of Christ to remove His church from the earth will come

1 Thess. 4:16-17

before the tribulation

1 Thess. 1:10; Rev. 3:10

and after it, He’ll descend with the Church to establish His millennial kingdom upon the earth.

Rev. 19:11 20:6

We believe heaven and hell are real places, and belief in Jesus makes all the difference.

We believe in the the conscious existence of the dead,

Phil. 1:21-23; Luke 16:19-31

the resurrection of the body,

John 5:28-29

the judgment and reward of believers,

Rom. 14:10-12; 2 Cor. 5:10

the judgment and condemnation of unbelievers,

Rev. 20:11-15

the eternal life of the saved,

John 3:16

and the eternal punishment of the lost.

Matt. 25:46; Rev. 20:15
